Fulfills the Washington Department of Licensing  Requirement to Become a Clock-Hour Approved Instructor

Train the Trainer is a distance-learning 15-clock hour approved course in the state of Washington (clock hours apply for real estate). The course teaches attendees creative, effective presentation and facilitation techniques. The course also fulfills the requirement to become a clock-hour approved instructor in Washington state.

Taught by a Washington and national Realtor Educator of the Year, Carla Cross will show you the best, and newest tips in presentations. You'll put the concepts and skills right to work, so you know they're practical and useful for you, with Carla as your coach.

This is an online course. You will not be shipped anything.

Many of the resources referenced in the program and videos are in your last section in this program.

Here is the program outline:

1. How Adults Learn: From Theory to Application

Before you start: Please read the Welcome section. It has time frames for completing the work (just a guide) and your monitor form. The state requires keeping the time you spend working on the class. Since much of the work you will do in this course is not timed at your computer, the monitor form allows you to log in the other time you spend working on the course. Recognizing how adults learn and their learning obstacles solves many of our common presentation problems, as you'll see in this section. We explore the four steps to launch a course for the best adult learning experience. You'll get strategies to access your particular audience, get more participation, and grab their attention.

2. The Principles of Effective Presentation

We know our subject. But, how do we organize our presentations for greatest impact and instill confidence in ourselves? In this section, you'll: Gain 3 exceptional models to guide you to organize any presentation or an entire course. Gain confidence because you'll be following proven models that work in the real world..

3. Sharpening Your Presentation Skills

If you want to sharpen your presentation skills, you'll love this section. Included: 7 professional presentation skills to enhance your 'stage' presence Best tips to control nervousness How to 'manage' your audience to control those disrupters gracefully Assure they remember your valued information through creative retention techniques

4. Setting the Stage/Evaluating the Results

There's more to presenting than presenting! Create the room atmosphere you need for your specific presentation, along with the dos and don'ts of room set-up. Evaluate how you did and what they learned (including an evaluation form you can use). Explore an effective coaching model to coach yourself and others for exceptional presentations. This creates much better performance faster. Congratulations! You are about halfway through the program. I have a gift for you!

5. How to Create a Course Effectively

Here's the six-step roadmap to take you right through the process of creating a workshop that works every time. Included: Methods to create variety in how you teach to avoid that boring lecture! How to use visual aids so they don't overwhelm your delivery Armed with the process, you'll be able to create a presentation 'from scratch', or work with what you have to make it 'teachable'.

6. Application and Practice: Master Your Skills

Put all the concepts you've learned to create a workshop that really works. You'll be creating and giving 2 workshops--one in your area of expertise and one 'generic' workshop. You'll be ready to take the models and processes you've learned here right into your marketplace and business for more effective presentations with payoffs.

7. Summary and Next Steps

You've finished! You've gained dozens of skills: 3 models to teach effectively 7 presentation skills to go to 'pro status' 6 steps to organize your presentation The coaching model to get higher, better performance 5 tips to 'control' those unruly audience members 6 ways to damp down the butterflies and 'up' the enthusiasm Here's the information you need to apply for your teaching certification from Washington Department of Licensing.
